Analogous to O-1 nonimmigrant classification, the Employment Based, First Preference (or “EB-1”) Alien of Extraordinary Ability green card classification is available to those few individuals who are widely recognized as being at the top of their field. Unlike most employment-based green card classifications, Aliens of extraordinary ability do not require a job offer, or sponsoring employer and are therefore often well suited for individual clients.
