November 2011 Visa Bulletin: Quota Cutoff Dates for EB-2
India and China Advance

The Department of State released its November 2011 visa bulletin last week, indicating significant advancement in the priority dates for employment-based second preference (EB-2) for individuals born in India and China. The priority dates in the EB-3 category also advanced slightly by one to two weeks.

Foreign nationals with priority dates earlier than the cut-off dates below, or where noted as "current", may file, or be approved for, an adjustment of status application in the month of November 2011. They may also be approved for an immigrant visa abroad:

EB-1 Worldwide:   Current
EB-2 Worldwide
(excluding China and India):
  Current
EB-2 China and India:   November 1, 2007 (forward movement of 3.5 months)
EB-3 Worldwide
(excluding China, India and Mexico):
  December 22, 2005 (forward movement of 2 weeks)
EB-3 China:   August 22, 2004 (forward movement of 2 weeks)
EB-3 India:   July 22, 2002 (forward movement of 1 week)
EB-3 Mexico:   December 22, 2005 (forward movement of 2 weeks)
