April 2011 Visa Bulletin: Slight Advancement of Priority Dates for EB-3 Worldwide and EB-2 China

The Department of State (DOS) released the April 2011 Visa Bulletin, indicating continued forward movement for employment-based third preference (EB-3). There is a slight movement in the cut-off date for employment-based second preference (EB-2) for individuals born in China, while EB-2 India remains unchanged.

Foreign nationals with priority dates earlier than the cut-off dates below, or where noted as "current", may file, or be approved for, an adjustment of status application in the month of April 2011. They may also be approved for an immigrant visa abroad:

EB-1 Worldwide:

EB-2 Worldwide (excluding China and India):

EB-2 China

July 22, 2006 (forward movement of 2 weeks)

EB-2 India

May 8, 2006 (no change)

EB-3 Worldwide (excluding China, India, Mexico and the Philippines):

July 22, 2005 (forward movement of 3 weeks)

EB-3 China:

March 1, 2004 (forward movement of 2 months)

EB-3 India:

April 8, 2002 (forward movement of approximately 3 weeks)

EB-3 Mexico:

May 8, 2004 (forward movement of 4 months)

EB-3 Philippines:

July 22, 2005 (forward movement of 3 weeks)
