DOS Releases September 2010 Visa Bulletin: Priority Date for EB-3 Worldwide (Except India, China and Mexico) Continues to Advance

The Department of State (DOS) released the September 2010 Visa Bulletin, indicating a six-month advancement in the cut-off date for the employment-based third preference (EB-3) category worldwide, except for India, China and Mexico. The cut-off dates in the EB-2 categories for individuals born in India and China advanced by two months, and the EB-3 category for individuals born in Mexico remains unavailable.

Foreign nationals with priority dates earlier than the cut-off dates below, or where noted as "current", may file, or be approved for, an adjustment of status application in the month of September 2010. They may also be approved for an immigrant visa abroad:
