DOS Releases July 2010 Visa Bulletin: Priority Date for EB-2 India Advances 8 Months

The Department of State (DOS) released the July 2010 Visa Bulletin, indicating an eight-month advancement in the cut-off date for the employment-based second preference (EB-2) category for individuals born in India, and advancements in the (EB-3) categories for all countries except Mexico. The EB-3 visa for individuals born in Mexico remains unavailable.

Foreign nationals with priority dates earlier than the cut-off dates below, or where noted as "current", may file, or be approved for, an adjustment of status application in the month of July 2010. They may also be approved for an immigrant visa abroad:

EB-2 India

October 1, 2005 (forward movement of eight months)

EB-3 Worldwide (excluding China, India, Mexico and the Philippines):

EB-3 India:

November 22, 2001 (forward movement of one month)

EB-3 Mexico:

Unavailable

EB-3 Philippines:

August 15, 2003 (forward movement of 2 months)
