Premium Processing for "EB-1Alien of Extraordinary Ability" Immigrant Petitions Available Today The United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) announced in a press release today that it will be begin accepting premium processing requests for EB-1 Alien of Extraordinary Ability immigrant visa petitions. The USCIS began accepting Premium Processing Service requests for petitions involving five other immigrant visa categories, EB-1 Outstanding professors and Researchers, EB-2 Members of Professions with Advanced Degrees or Exceptional Ability (not seeking a National Interest Waiver), EB-3 Professionals and skilled workers. The USCIS guarantees that a petition filed with a request for premium processing, which requires an additional fee of $1,000, will be adjudicated within 15 days. Within this period, the USCIS must either issue an approval notice, a notice of intent to deny, or a request for evidence. If it fails to do so, the $1,000 fee will be refunded.
