Miki is a Senior Paralegal/Manager and has over 20 years of experience with business immigration. She was born and raised in Yokohama, Japan where she attended St. Maur International School and received the International Baccalaureate. She is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College, and also attended a graduate program in Philosophy at The New School of Social Research in New York City. Her mother tongue is Japanese.
Miki began her career as a business immigration paralegal in New York in 1991 and moved to San Francisco in 1999 to join Cooley LLP, where she serviced American, Korean and Japanese corporate clients, ranging from well-established multinational corporation to Silicon Valley startups. She has been employed at Goeschl Law Corporation since its establishment in January 2005.
Miki is skilled in the preparation of a wide range of documentation for corporate visa matters, including L Blanket programs, E-1/E-2 registrations, national interest waivers, and aliens of extraordinary ability petitions and in handling filings involving corporate changes (mergers, acquisitions, and spin-offs). She is also experienced in preparing filings for employment- and marriage-based green card applications, maintaining or renouncing LPR status, and naturalization.
